This is scary. My first ever blog and it is like learning to ride a bicycle. I am scared that I will fall and look foolish!

Coast Sports Academy has, at last, received its very own Boomerang basketball return device. The process has taken considerable time but Coast Sports Academy can now fulfill the dream of providing professional skilled basketball shooting skills to local basketballers right here on the coast.

The boxes arrived on Friday afternoon and hours were spent putting the various bits together. Many arguments as to what went where. Men do not follow instructions but stick to their own views. It always takes longer to accomplish a task the 'man' way. Sunday morning Ethan and Ben were the first two to spend an hour shooting and must have got off 400 shots. The beam on their faces is testimony to their enjoyment.

With the arrival of this final piece of equipment Coast Sports Academy can now fulfill its promise of providing professional basketball coaching and has planned two exciting camps to be held during the July school break. The first camp will be held from 14 to the 18 July between 10.00 am and 1.00 pm and will concentrate on skills training and will cover passing, shooting dribbling, footwork, defense and spacing. This course will be limited to 10 participants and will cost $50.00

The second course will will concentrate on shooting only and will run over the same days but will be confined to the time period 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm and will be limited to a maximum of six participants. Here the new Boomerang will be used extensively. The cost of this clinic will be $65.00.

Please make sure you register early by following this link http://www.coastsport.co.nz/basketball-course-registration.html

I look forward to seeing all you keen 'ballers during July.
